Description
On a drum-mounted parts washer the drum is the reservoir — the sink sits on top and the solution lives below. That makes the drum a working component rather than packaging, and a worn, dented or contaminated one is worth replacing.
Changing the drum is also the cleanest way to change solution: swap the whole drum rather than pumping out and refilling. Steel drums suit solvent service; plastic is specified for aqueous, where heated water-based chemistry would attack painted steel over time.
